His common surname is Lin, his given name is Zitan, his courtesy name is Changjun, and his nickname is Jieding. Born on October 5, 15th year BC, he was originally from Jinjiang County, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, and lived in Wufeng Township, Taichung County. He was a descendant of the Lin Family Garden, a local prominent family. Since he was a child, he has cultivated his wisdom roots. He fasted and chanted Buddha's name with his mother. On the eighth day of April in the fourth year of the Republic of China, he paid homage to the abbot of Shangmiaoxia Zen at the Jingang Temple in Lion Head Mountain, shaved his head and dyed his clothes. He escaped into Buddhism and practiced Taoism. I prayed for ordination at Guanghua Temple in Xinghua, Fujian. After returning to Taiwan, I made a vow to pay homage to famous mountains on November 5, 11th year of the Republic of China. I traveled to Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Fujian, Xuefeng, Shanghai, Ningbo, Dinghai and other places to visit closely. The great good teachers of the teaching world include Yin Guang, Taixu, Huiquan, Xingyuan, Xuyun, Zhuanfeng, etc. He graduated from the Dongfang Yinming Theory School of Quanzhou Chengtian Temple. He inherited the teachings of the old monk Yuanying at Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou. He is a disciple of the Gou Zen master and disciple of Qita Temple and the 40th generation successor of the Linji orthodox sect.
Master Shangjiexia Sect took over as the president of the Chinese Buddhist Association in the 13th year of the Republic of China. He served as secretary, supervisor, consultant of the Taiwan Buddhist Branch, and Dharma Propagation Committee member of the Chinese Buddhist Association. He was also the chairman and permanent instructor of the Taichung County Buddhist Branch. He also served as abbot of Guangde Temple and Lingguang Temple.
In the 57th year of the Republic of China, Duke Jie purchased the old site (No. 230, Chaoyang Street, Taoyuan City, Taoyuan City) due to a fateful gathering and established a dojo in memory of his ancestral home, Jingang Zen Temple, and named it after it.
The first-generation founder, the old monk Shangliang Xiada, the second-generation founder, the old monk Shangmiaoxiazen, and the third-generation founder of the temple, the old monk Shangjiexiazong, founded the monastery to spread the Dharma, benefit living beings, and be compassionate and compassionate. Mr. Jie's compassionate wishes are profound and he does not seek happiness for himself. He hopes that all sentient beings can be freed from suffering, turn the wheel of Dharma, liberate the masses of delusions, cast the rain of Dharma, and liberate all peoples. In the seventy-second year of the Republic of China, he passed away, achieved Nirvana, attained great freedom, and fulfilled his meritorious deeds. He passed away and returned to the West, where he accompanied the Buddha, and lived to the age of ninety and two years.
